/ about
Hi, I'm
Rodney.

I'm a creative front-end developer — known for the smile I bring into the room. Curious by default, fast to ramp up in a new stack, and the calm one in the room when a sprint catches fire.
By day I'm a consultant at Sogeti, where my latest mission lived inside Aegon · a.s.r. — modernising a Drupal 9 platform up to 10, owning the Acquia deploys via Azure Pipelines, and quietly preparing the way to a static-site variant on AWS.
Outside billable hours I build modern web apps end-to-end — component-driven UI in React/Next.js + TypeScript, data and auth on Supabase, deployed cleanly through GitHub. The result is sites like zieckdesign.nl, chess.zieckdesign.nl and centwise.
I grew up in a musical family — bass is my first language, piano is the new vocabulary I'm learning. I keep the body-and-mind loop tight with calisthenics. The smile survives both.

Off-duty
Three things that keep
the smile on.
- Bass. Grew up in a musical family. Pocket-first, melody-second.
- Piano. Recent obsession. Slowly stealing time from the bass.
- Calisthenics. Body and mind in balance — and excellent debugging fuel.
